    It could have been worst.

Pros: No need to pay for a hotel

Cons: Terrible chairs to wait on landside.

(Review by SimoneSouza) So, I arrived at the airport just to find out my flight was cancelled, there were no more flights that day out of Lubbock from United and I travel on a 'stand by' status, that is, Im on a employee flying benefit, where I fly when there are open seats, and in this case, when a flight is cancelled, when there are no open seats, whatever the case is, the airline doesn't pay for a hotel, I have to take care of myself. So, I decided to stay at the airport, I got a boarding pass to the next available flight, which was the folloing day, passed TSA and stayed in the airside area until almost mignight. Place is nice, great confortable chairs w power outlets to seat and sleep on, also the floor has carpet, so if I wanted I could take my sleeping bag, layed on the floor and I'd be ok. Food court is ok, it has burger king, pizza hit, a breakfast place and a nice bar across the hall, but it all closes down by 8pm. I stayed in one of these nice big chairs sleepeing, when a security officer woke me up and said I had to leave the area, so I went outside and stayed landside. AWFUL chairs and hard floor everywhere, but they do have police all night, and I wasnt willing to pay for a hotel, so… I took my sleeping bag from my carry-on, placed it in front of an american authority office, which has a big safety camera above the door and slept there. As far as safety goes, nothing is gonna happen there, since I heard noises of the officers passing by all night long, thats what mattered to me, but the hard floor!?!?!?!? I guess hard floors are hard anywehre, right? So, I slept in the landside until about 5am, got up and head to TSA, when I got there I used the same boarding pass as the night before and that was a safety issue, I was told by one of the officers that I souldnt be able to get in airside with a boarding pass of the next day. Anyway, I got in, he asked me many questoins, asked to see the boarding pass of the previous day, from the cancelled flight and left me in. Tip: if you do like I did, make sure u have another boarding pass issued for u, because then ur new boarding pass wont have nobody signature, like mine did, and then all this confusion would be avoided.
