    Nürnberg Aiport Review

Terminal 1 – The airport is pretty small and directly connected to the local subway system. You can get out of the subway and find yourself directly next to the check-in counters. Security check procedure is amazingly fast and usually doesn´t take more than 5 minutes (except holiday season of course).

    Nigth at Nuremberg airport

Pros: Warm, clean, McDonald's works 24h

Cons: Not enough sleeping places, hard to find charging sockets

There is only metal benches, but most of them are in the arrival. So if there are flights in the night, it gets noisy and crowded with people.
It is possible to sleep on these benches but in some hours gets cold ( it is metal 🙂 ).
Free WiFi and McDonald's made this airport possible to spend the night comfortable 🙂

    small but cozy and quiet

(Guest Review by Tamara) Great airport to sleep over! Though i haven't experienced how comfortable the seats are, i assure you that (if you have a sleeping bag) the floor is all you need! On the first floor – restaurant level – you can have a restful night. Super quiet after 21h30, you even have access to some plug-ins ! (Not that many on the groundfloor.

    An average night in Nuremberg

Pros: Not many people about, 30 mins free WIFI, bar, restaurant, observation deck

Cons: Hard metal seats, not very warm, security check on you, announcements.

(Review by whichairportnext86) I've slept in many airports and this is not one of my favourites, but it is not terrible. I was landside and there were not many seats, and the only ones were hard metal benches (with backs), fortunately not with arm rests so you could lay on them. The floor was hard and cold. The first floor was quiet except for staff moving around. Most of the shops were closed, but there was food available late. Bathrooms were small but clean. Didn't see any showers. Free WIFI for 30 mins. The observation deck was nice to watch planes coming and going, with chairs that had cushions, but open air so no good for sleeping if rainy/cold. Next to it was a very nice restaurant and bar set up with sofas, but it was attended by staff and customers. There were advertisements for occasional disco's there too!, so beware on those nights it might be noisy. The airport was super quiet for most of the night, not many flights were leaving, which left me more obvious to security…I was checked on three times by separate security guards who all questioned me hard, but were (relatively) happy to let me be once I had shown my flight details for the next morning (remember your ticket!). I got the feeling they would have kicked me out otherwise. There were announcements at regular intervals through the night over the speakers which were quite loud. Airside the seats are cushioned and there are loads of them, so if you can get through there early I would recommend it!
