    Yet another night in paradice

    01.01.2009

    Pros: Brought friends

Cons: The long wait, The conspiracy

(Review by lopstad) In this manjana-manjana country, 'technology' is a foreign word. So what happens in the airports when it rains in a country where no-one has heard about radars? They nicely ask you to sit on your behinds until this state of exeption disolve. It rained for 74 hours. No-one checks the weather forecasts, so we had to wait inside the terminal during opening hours. Obviously, this cumulated a lot of people, and so by the time the airport closed the second night, there was no hotel rooms avaiable. So we were guided to the tile-floor hallways. During these hours, we sometimes got hungry. So you stood in line for a few hours in one of the two 'resturants' in the terminal – which had turned the prices sky high. I ordered the largest hamburger available, and once I got it – it was raw. So I stood there with stomack aches, and a raw burger in front of a stressed out dominican who dont speak english. I ate the burger, and spent the rest of my time here on the can thinking: Yet another day in paradise!
