    Short but deep sleep!

    01.04.2016

Pros: The couch, friendly staff, quiet place

    Cons: Early morning,

(Review by Lunou) If only I knew that I would spend such a good night, I would have the airport earlier! I arrived in the airport around 11pm, the place was so quiet, I though it was close! No announces of flight during the night, a friendly staff told me I could sleep on the couch (under the Golum) and said he was sorry for the lights!! I've been awake by noise and breakfast smell of the cook strait bar, at 4am. The airport start to be crowded then. No one wake me up, really worth an hotel!!

    A night under Gollum

(Review by Olaf) Wellington has a little airport. It's close between 1h30 and 4 am to clean it but the lights still working. 5 others travellers sleep in the airport this night, a security guard came to us at 1 am to ask our passeport and it was ok. Ther is a big table with plugs close to Gollum. There is also a shower in the airport. There is couchs everywhere but the best are under Gollum. Because of the light and the noise of the cleaning, take ear plug and something to hide your eyes.

    Wifi

Unable to find out whether wifi available in international departure lounge gate 49. No info counter and women at entrance collecting departure cards had no idea, so had to stay in general cafe area to continue working. Not an unreasonable question.

    Wellington

    22.12.2015

(Guest Review by Barry W . Qld) Two overseas flights arrived almost simultaneously. Greeted by a long queue waiting at the "Smart Gate". The queue wound down into a darkened passage way while we waited for other passengers to insert their passports into these machines then get the required ticket to proceed to the next queue. (This time we had a choice of 3 lines) Another ridiculous wait while we queued to have our sad faces scanned by a machine. Welcome to baggage collection where the queue was longer than the first. Wellington-you have a problem if you cannot handle the arrival of two aircraft together. A bloody terrible experience.

Quiet place to have a nice sleep.

(Guest Review by Fran) Departures Terminal – Crashed onto the soft sofas that run by the windows in the departure landside area. There were few people around having a nap so it was quite easy to get some room. Although the area is not dark,it was very quiet and I had eyeshades so I could rest comfortably.
