What to Expect
Ercan Airport (code: ECN) has a small airport that services a few non-stop routes to Turkey. Due to the ongoing political situation here, flights to or from any other destinations must first stop in Turkey. Facilities include a few eateries and shops. Free WiFi is available in designated areas. For added comfort while you wait, economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge. Sleeping in Ercan Airport
The airport quiets down for a few hours, the staff may leave you alone, and padded benches are located on the ground floor. For uninterrupted sleep, the closest hotels are 25-35 minutes away, and some offer shuttle service for a fee.
