Isle of Man Airport Information

In this guide we may refer to locations as "landside" and "airside". Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships

Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter by purchasing a lounge pass or through a lounge membership program (ie. Priority Pass). Visit the individual lounge page for more details about the lounge itself and to also find out how you can gain lounge access with just an economy class ticket!

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover At The Airport

  • ATMs / Cash Machines - Need cash? An ATM is available. The machine dispenses Manx and English Sterling both of which are accepted at the airport and throughout the island. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: in the main entrance lobby.
  • Currency Exchange - not available in the airport.
  • Family Services - Parent/baby rooms are located on the ground floor of the main terminal and in the departure lounge. A baby change unit is also available in the toilets on the first floor of the terminal.
  • Food & Drinks - Food concessions throughout the airport operate with varying schedules. At the time of this update, we are unable to confirm the availability of any 24-hour dining options. Food options include: Café Oasis (landside) • Costa Coffee (airside) • Okells Bar (airside).
  • Information Desk - Location: Main Hall
  • Luggage Storage & Lockers - Location: Rendezvous Airport Services, in the check-in hall.
  • Mobile Charging - At the time of this update, we did not have any information about mobile charging availability. If you know, write a review or email us at guides@sleepinginairports.com.
  • Observation Deck - Relax and watch planes taking off and landing from the vantage point of the airport's observation deck. Location: Landside, First Floor.
  • Rest Zones - Not available.
  • Shopping - A WHSmith is located airside on the 1st floor, and a 2nd airport shop is located airside on the 2nd floor.
  • Showers - Not available.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport


Buses 1, 1A, 2, 10, 11, 11A, 12 and 12A link the airport to Douglas, Santon, Ballasalla, Castletown, Port Erin and stops in between. Buses 8 and 8A run between the airport, Peel, Foxdale and Port Erin.

Car Rentals

The following car rental agencies are available onsite: Athol Car Hire, Isle of Man Rent A Car (agent for Europcar, Hertz, National and Thrifty) and Mylchreests Car Rental (agent for Avis). Locations: near Arrivals.


Fixed-rate taxis are readily available at the taxi rank located in front of the airport terminal entrance.
