What to Expect

tartu airport guideThe small terminal at Tartu Airport (code: TAY) is used primarily for commuter flights to Helsinki. Facilities are very basic, with vending machines and no shops. We have no details on whether WiFi is available.

Sleeping in Tartu Airport

We do not yet have any sleep-related airport reviews.  Since this airport has very limited operations, overnight stays may not be possible. Baby Care Facilities – If you are travelling with an infant, there are 2 baby care rooms for diaper-changing. Location: found beside the washrooms.

Children’s Play Area – When you want to ensure your kids burn off all their energy before their flight, take them to the children’s play area. Location: unknown.

Food & Drinks – It appears as though there are no restaurants available, there are vending machines landside which dispense coffee, soft drinks, etc. Note, the machines take Euro coins only.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.

Airport Express

The airport is connected to the city center via the Airport Express Bus. The bus waits for all arriving passengers before heading to the city. At the time of this update, the Airport Express is free of charge. For schedule information, visit the Tartu Airport website.

Car Rentals

There are no car rental kiosks onsite. However, these car rental agencies serve the airport from off-site locations and can arrange to have a car waiting for you at the airport: Avis • Budget • City Car Estonia • Hertz • Sixt.

Taxis

Metered taxis are readily available for hire at the taxi stop in front of the terminal. At the time of this update, a one-way fare between the airport and city center is €11 – €14.
