What to Expect
The small terminal at Zadar Airport (code: ZAD) handles two year-round routes and dozens of seasonal routes during the summer. Facilities are limited to two snack bars, a restaurant, and a duty-free shop. Free WiFi helps pass the time.
Sleeping in Zadar Airport
The airport closes nightly, from 10:00 PM until 4:00 AM, but travellers can stay inside for the night if they arrive before closing time! Padded benches are in short supply, so bring a sleeping bag for stretching out on the floor. It can get cold, so bring an extra layer or blanket. For uninterrupted sleep, hotels are nearby. In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airport Hours
The airport is open 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM. According to the website, it says the airport is open 24 hours “on request.”
Airport Hotels
If sleeping in the airport sounds like a nightmare, there are a few small hotels/B&Bs near Zadar Airport. The drive to the city center is only 15-20 minutes. Visit Tripadvisor to see a list of hotels in Zadar, search for deals and read traveller reviews.

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Landside, to the left of the entrance and in Domestic Arrivals.
