Batam Airport has a small terminal that handles regional flights year-round and service to Jeddah during the Hajj season. A new terminal seems to be be under construction. Facilities include a variety of eateries and shops, as well as WiFi. For added comfortable, economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge. In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport
At the time of this November 2017 update, we were unable to find any hotels that provide hotel shuttle service; however, there are several hotels that can arrange transfers for a fee. [ See Airport Hotels above ]
Taxis are readily available in the ground transportation area of the airport. Some taxis have meters, but the majority do not, and you can haggle a price before you begin your journey. For safety reasons, accept rides only from licensed taxis displaying a yellow license plate.
