What to Expect

Brno Turany International Airport (code: BRQ) consists of a small, modern two-level terminal with two concourses, a landside convenience store, an airside duty-free shop, and a restaurant and cafe on both the land- and air-sides. There are very few daily flights and shops and restaurants open based on daily flight schedule, so plan accordingly. WiFi is available. Additional services and comforts can be found through fee-based access to the airport’s first class lounge. See Airport Lounges in the guide below for locations and rates.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter by paying at the door or through a lounge membership program. More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover At The Airport

ATMs / Cash Machines – ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs, operated by Komerční banka, are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Location: Arrivals Hall.

Currency Exchange – Air Service Brno – Location: Departures Hall.

Duty Free & Shopping – Travel Fun Shop offers duty-free shopping airside in the Departures Hall. Airport Shop Brno convenience store can be found in the hallway between Departures and Arrivals. Both stores are open according to flight schedule.

Food & Drinks – Food concessions can be found both Landside and Airside. There are no 24 hour service providers, however you will find that most operate according to flight schedules.

Information Desk – Need help finding your way? Two information desks can be found on the Ground Floor.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.

Travel Agencies – If you are arriving in Brno and need local arrangements or help planning a really last minute trip abroad, there are a few travel agencies with offices at the airport that can probably be of assistance. Air Service Brno (departure hall opposite the entrance) and the Brno Airport Reservation and Information Centre.

Brno airport is served by the following airlines: Aegean • RyanAir • Smartwings.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

Bus

Public bus E76 connects the airport and Brno Main Station. Travel time is approx. 20 minutes. Bus N89 runs the same route at night, from 11:00PM – 5:00AM. At the time of this update, a single-ride ticket costs CZK 25, sold at ticket vending machines in the Arrivals Hall or onboard the bus (payable in CZK or EUR). Car Rentals

The following car rental agencies are located onsite in the walkway between the Arrivals and Departures Halls: Avis • Budget • Europcar • Hertz • Rentplus • Sixt.

Taxis

Taxis are available in the ground transportation area. All taxis are metered, and reservations are not required. A one-way trip between the airport and Brno city center is 20 minutes.
