- For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels within a 30 minutes’ drive of the airport; some hotels charge for airport shuttles and some do not provide them. See our Airport Hotel section below for more info.
In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.
Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships
Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter through a lounge membership program (ie. Priority Pass). Visit the individual lounge page for more details about the lounge itself and to also find out how you can gain lounge access with just an economy class ticket!
If sleeping in Bulawayo Airport does not appeal to you, there are a a few guest houses and local hotels near the airport with varying standards. A little further away, the Holiday Inn Bulawayo (25 minutes from the airport) offers airport transfers for a fee.
WiFi is available throughout the airport terminal. Connect to the “Zimbabwe On Line” network. At the time of this update, we were unable to confirm if a fee is charged.

Avis and Europcar have kiosks available at Bulawayo Airport.
Light-blue colored metered taxis are readily available in the ground transportation area of the airport.
