To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Cajamarca Airport.
What to Expect
Cajamarca Airport consists of a small terminal that offers flights to Lima. We are unable to confirm whether eateries or shops are available. There is WiFi in the airport lounge, which economy class passengers can pay to enter. See Airport Lounges in the airport guide below for its location and access information.
Where to Sleep
This airport closes at 6:00PM, so staying here overnight is not possible. For uninterrupted sleep, hotels are nearby. See our Airport Hotels section below for more info.
In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.
Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships
Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter by paying at the door, purchasing a lounge pass or through a lounge membership program (ie. Priority Pass). Visit the individual lounge page for more details about the lounge itself and to also find out how you can gain lounge access with just an economy class ticket!

A crowded and and uncomfortable way to travel between the airport and town, but if you’re traveling light and trying to save money, it’s an option.
If you’re traveling light and feeling brave, mototaxis are a cheap and thrilling way (although not the safest!) to travel between the airport and town.
Taxis are readily available in the ground transportation area of the airport. Negotiate your fare with the driver before starting your journey.
