What to Expect
Derry Airport (code: LDY) has a small, recently renovated terminal that connects to a few regional destinations. Amenities include a full-service restaurant, a cafe, and a couple shops. The free WiFi helps pass the time. For added comfort while you wait, economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge. Where to Sleep

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Shopping – Shopping – Newspapers, magazines, snacks, and last minute gifts are sold airside at WHSmith. The Airport Shop offers discounted prices and a “buy now, collect later” facility.

Smoking – The building is entirely non-smoking, you may smoke in designated areas outside the terminal only (pre-check in).

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport
Ulsterbus links the LDY airport to the Bus Depot on Foyle Street in the city center, with connections available to buses serving northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. For fares, routes and schedule information, visit the Translink website.

City Cabs operate 24-hours a day from a dedicated taxi rank located in front of the airport. At the time of this update, an average one-way trip between the airport and city center costs £11.00, and takes about 20 minutes.
