HGH Airport Overview
To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport.
What to Expect
Hangzhou Airport (code: HGH) is a large, modern airport with separate terminals for international and domestic flights. One reviewer reports that the domestic terminal provides a decent variety of shopping and dining options. Free WiFi is also available to help pass your time. Economy class passengers seeking additional comfort and facilities have the option to use one of the lounges. See our Airport Lounges section for locations and rates.
Where to Sleep
One airport sleeper has recommended the international terminal as a decent place to sleep thanks to its nice, comfortable seats and convenient power outlets. According to other traveller reviews, the terminal can get crowded and empty seats may be hard to find. If you see a vacant seat, be sure to grab it quickly and as early as possible! For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels near the airport. See locations in the Airport Hotels section below or read some traveller airport reviews for more tips.
In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security. For more information on Europe’s Schengen Area, click here.
