What to Expect
- A small single-terminal airport, served mainly by commercial and military commuter flights to Kabul.
- Separate security checkpoints and waiting/boarding area for female travelers.
- Flights from this airport rarely depart on time. ALWAYS call ahead to confirm your flight.
Where to Sleep

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.
There are no pay-per-use lounges in the airport.

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover At The Airport
ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans.
Family Services – Nursing rooms are available. Location: unknown.
Food & Drinks – At the time of this update, we did not have any information regarding the availability of any 24 hour restaurants. KFC is open 6:00AM – 11:00PM in the Arrivals area and if you are Airside there is a coffee shop open 7:00AM – 9:30PM.
Luggage Storage & Lockers – Available. Location: International Terminal, 2nd Floor, beside the elevator, West of the lobby. Hours: 7:30AM – 10:00PM. Rates: CNY 15 per day for pieces under 200cm and CNY 40 for pieces over 200cm. Each additional half day (up to 12 hours) is CNY 10. Maximum storage is 30 days.
Medical Services – First Aid is available. Airside, Gate 6, East of the Terminal Building. Hours: 24 hours.
Rest Zones – Not available.
Showers – Not available.
Smoking – Smoking is permitted in designated rooms.
