What to Expect

The small terminal at Puerto Maldonado Airport (code: PEM) handles several domestic routes. Facilities include a cafe, an eatery, and two souvenir shops. Sleeping in Puerto Maldonado Airport

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Location: unknown.

Currency Exchange – Banco Continental (BBVA) offers full-service banking and currency exchange in the airport.

Food & Drinks – Sandwiches, drinks, and snacks can be purchased from Cafe Altomayo near Check-in or 1Break restaurant in the boarding area. Hours are unknown.

Medical Services – Services are available for First-Aid, yellow fever vaccination and support of medical emergencies.

Do not forget to get vaccinated against yellow fever before travelling to Puerto Maldonado and carry your certificate; if you have not done so in your city of origin, you can be vaccinated free of charge upon your arrival at the same airport in the Health post.
