What to Expect

San Cristobal Airport (code: SCY) has a tiny terminal that offers connections to Baltra and mainland Ecuador. Facilities seem limited to basic souvenir shops and a snack bar.

This airport closes nightly, after the day’s last flight, reopening at 10:00AM, so overnight stays are not possible. For uninterrupted sleep, nearby hotels are in walking distance and offer shuttle service for a fee. Taxis

San Cristobal Airport is just a super-cheap taxi ride (or a 15-minute walk) from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Once there, you can catch one of two daily ferry departures to Puerto Ayora. Inter-island flights are a faster and motion sickness-free alternative to the ferry.
