What to Expect

ufa airport guideUfa Airport (code: UFA) has a small terminal divided into domestic and international areas. Amenities include a variety of eateries and shops, including duty-free, though we don’t know if any are open 24 hours. Free WiFi is available, but you may need a mobile number to access the login information. Economy class passengers can pay to enter a few airport lounges with shower facilities. In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. If sleeping in Ufa Airport sounds like a nightmare, there are a few hotels along the road to Ufa, but the most options will be in the city (30+ minutes away).  Visit Tripadvisor to see a list of hotels in Ufa, search for deals and read traveller reviews.

Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships

Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there are lounges that you can enter by paying at the door or through a lounge membership program. Visit the individual lounge page for more details about the lounge itself and learn how to gain access with just an economy class ticket!

  • Iremel Lounge – Location: Airside, 1st Floor.  Domestic flights only.  Hours: open 24 hours.  Lounge Access: Prepaid lounge pass • Lounge membership programs.
  • VIP International Business Lounge – Location: multiple locations (Terminals 1, 2 and 3) Showers are available. Hours: open 24 hours.

A wide variety of dining options are available throughout the airport. At the time of this update, we could not confirm whether any of the airport’s restaurants are open 24 hours.

Luggage Storage

Operated by Pack & Fly Ltd., the Baggage and Hand Baggage Storage offers 24-hour storage of your luggage and personal belongings at RUB 400 per day and RUB 200 per each additional day. Location: Terminal 1, -1 Level • Terminal 2, Level 1.

Mobile Charging

Showers

Available in the UFA VIP Business Lounge (Terminals 1 location). [ See Airport Lounges above ]

WiFi / Internet

WiFi/Internet – Unlimited free WiFi is available from three different providers at Ufa Airport: Bashinformsvyaz covers T1 and T2 (Levels 1 and 2). Transtelekom covers T1 (Levels 1 and 2) and the Aeroport Hotel lobby. Ufanet covers T1 and T2 (Levels 1 and 2) and the Aeroport Hotel lobby.

To connect, you must enter your mobile phone number into the log-in. You will then receive a text message with a phone number that you will have to call to obtain the login ID.

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Landside and Airside.

Baby Care Facilities – Landside, you will find the “Cozy Baby Care Room,” which offers a play area with tables for drawing and games, a home theatre with cartoons, an indoor playground, a kitchen for heating baby food/milk, and a quiet area for feeding, changing and caring for sleeping baby. To access this room, you must go to the First Aid Office in the Domestic Flights Terminal so your baby’s health can be checked. Location: Domestic Flights Terminal – left wing, airside, 1st floor next to the Information Counter.

Children’s Play Areas – When you want to ensure your kids burn off all their energy before their flight, take them to one of the children’s play areas. The spaces come equipped with toys, changing tables, and TVs. Location: Terminals 1 and 2, Airside, in the departures lounges.

Currency Exchange – Sberbank Russia offers full-service banking and currency exchange services in Terminal 2 and two ATMs. Sberbank Russia’s Hours: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM daily.

Duty-Free & Shopping – Duty-Free is available, as well as a few other shops selling souvenirs, magazines, traditional clothing, etc.

Hair Salon – Offers unisex haircuts and eyebrow shaping. Cash only. Location: Terminal 1, 2nd floor Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Luggage Wrapping – Operated by Pack & Fly Ltd. Wrapping rates: RUB 400 per bag. Lost Bag Insurance Rates: RUB 100 per bag (RUB 60,000 refund for lost bag). Location: Terminals 1 and 2 (1st floor). Hours: 24 hours a day.

Medical Services – First-aid services are available at the medical points on a 24-hour basis. Locations: Level 1 of T1 and T2. The Medical Unit provides general nursing services (vaccinations, lab services, and more). Location: Unknown. Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Mon – Fri only).

Buses

Buses 110, 110C, and 101 offer service between the airport and designated locations in Ufa city center, including Ufa Railway Station.

Taxis

Prepaid taxis are readily available for hire in the airport’s forecourt. Use the self-service taxi kiosks in the baggage claim to view prices and book and pay for your taxi. You will receive a ticket to give to your taxi driver before boarding.
