Do they train people to give bad service

by web-administrator (August, 2017)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review by Professor G Travels) I was trying to get into one of the airport lounges. Each one kept telling me that they did not take my card, but the other did. I went between the 2 three times. Finally got in and it was totally not worth it. Located at #37. The food was lousy, drinks lousy and the customer service even more deplorable. There were 5 people at the front desk and they still had a bad attitude to customers. The internet is not theirs, it is the one for the airport and highly problematic to use. Choices of decent restaurants are non existent here. If you want Chinese fast food, Mc Donalds or Starbucks, you are in business.

not open all night

by web-administrator (November, 2017)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review by nechaev) a bit late in writing this up: when i arrived in phnom penh i made a point of asking the tourist information booth at the airport if the airport was open all night. Yes, yes they told me. I also made a point of asking my hotel concierge. Yes yes she told me. NOTE: THIS AIRPORT IS NOT OPEN ALL NIGHT: It is closed between 0130 and 0430. You have to go outside and wait there. I caught a few hours zzzzzz on the hard (cement or metal) benches. No problem worrying about your security: there are lots of late-night airport workers walking by, plus armed guards, police, etc., and there were 5 or 6 of us travellers camping on the benches. BRING insect spray as there are lots of mosquitoes. At around 4 AM a lot more travellers started to arrive

Overall review

by web-administrator (January, 2016)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review) It is a very small airport that only operates during day time. There are AC, free wifi and places for you to charge your phone. Not so clean bathroom. You have small gift shops before you go in the last check point, a small cafe outside and a Burguer King facility outside with wifi, good and clean bathroom and it is a very nice place to stay a litlle bit. Flights to Denpasar (Every day), Sigapore (3 times a week) and Darwin. Advice to stay in a hotel while visit or stay a night in Dili.

Vietnam Immigration Police Officer Asking for Money

by web-administrator (July, 2017)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review) When I went with my family through the immigration police, he asked for our money and he did not give us a passport back until we gave him money. This is an embarrassing thing for the country and people of Vietnam have bumpy bear carry uniforms of Vietnam People's Police.

much better than I expected... but only T3!

by web-administrator (July, 2017)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review by Ire) The comments here about CGK I find a bit confusing as no one mentions that you need to show your airticket for entering the buildings T1 and T2 - even if you can enter the evening before your flight, I would not recommend those terminals as they are old, rather dirty and provide no good space for lying down. T3 has a security check too at the entrance but no ID or ticket is asked for. If you come from another Terminal with the free shuttle bus, you will enter at Gate 1 and exit at Gate 4. Between the check-in counters there are 6 to 8 comfy 4-seaters, cushioned, no annoying armrests, with power outlets under the seats! Clean, spacious toilets are nearby as well as some restaurants. The whole area seems still quite new and safe. After the disappearance of a noisy group of school kids and after finishing some construction work around midnight, I had a good and undisturbed 6 hours sleep. Never forget earplugs and eye-mask, of course :)

Poorly run airport

by web-administrator (July, 2017)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review) This was one of the worse international airports I've been in. I can deal with the entire place being warm and uncomfortable since it's the Philippines. But i cannot excuse poor management in policy. First of all their is a fundamental breakdown of communication between the airport and passengers as to the status of your flight. Although multiple Tvs were present all were tuned to the same basketball game! BTW it's July and basketball season is over. They were showing a rerun from 2011. So rather than display pertinent flight information such as status or gate they played an old basketball game. When you do reach your gate good luck figuring out on your own if it's correct. Most signs were either old and not updated or just facing the wrong way. Because of the poor communication of information people are constantly on the overhead speakers listing out changes to flights (again rather than displaying them on a tv or board). If they aren't listing changes they are listing peoples names for final boarding since they probably didn't get the memo of where their gate was changed to. Honestly if you are hearing impaired you will miss you're going to be out of luck.

Tolerable at Most

by web-administrator (July, 2017)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review) The experience of the international terminal at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, Telengana, India lacks in more ways then one, providing an experience which is devoid of any luxury and barely tolerable. For Indian citizens, the process is straightforward and much smoother, but for foreign nationals, there are an assortment of problems. Upon arrival to the airport, I was faced with an unclean airport area, with little open spaces and a small hallway to accommodate many travelers. I then proceeded to the customs and immigration, where I was welcomed with a complicated immigration card- make sure you know your exact destination beforehand! The counter was managed by one staff member, who I had to ask for a card, of which there were none availible, then having to wait for about 10 minutes for a staff member to bring a card from somewhere else- I took careful notice of the fact he only brought one card, leaving the drawer of cards empty, despite 2 foreign nationals behind me. The entire arrivals area was devoid of shops, and the passport stamping area reeked with disgusting smells. The only restaurants or hotels are available after obtaining bags and exiting the main building- having to go to a food court of sorts outside. It had options, but the fact of the matter was that none were stationed for travelers inside the actual airport. Some Tips: Bring your own pen, bring adequate footwear (preferably not disgusting and smelly flip flops which most travelers were wearing),and every bit of information on your accommodation.

(Guest Review) I scheduled to board at 22.45am,but the flight was delayed to 02.30am due to air traffic controls. The boarding gate changed for three times,so i must keep awake to keep attention to the over-head call, and I have to walk a long way for the new.Water supply and toilets is easy to find.Over-head call is regional, which means I can't leave the gate too far. Most stores close up at 11.00pm.The long chairs is ok for sleeping.

Best Terminal (T-3) in the PH yet Improving MNL Airport!

by web-administrator (July, 2017)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review by Randall Cruz) I have a trip to the US (California). Terminal 3 was the best and largest terminal in Manila - Ninoy Aquino International Airport. I had a Cathay Pacific flight to Hong Kong (CX0918). The Check-in process was smooth. There were plenty of shops and restaurants to spend with. I also spent time with my family on Starbucks outside the check-in area while waiting for my flight. The only problem was that the flight was delayed due to the weather. It was raining hard but it was okay with me because we didn't wait for a long time. There are lots of chairs to sit and wait then the WiFi was good. Plus, the ground staff were kind! All in all it was a great airport experience.

Not so pleasant

by web-administrator (June, 2017)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review) I've had interconnection on this airport and there is just nothing really to do. No shops, no bar, and not a lot restaurants. I've google this and got a option to go to near hotel FM7 resort hotel to use their swimming pool. Overall they offer me short stay (for few hours use their room) or that they will pick me up from the airport and i can use their spa etc. It was really nice and well organized. After swimming I had lovely meal in Thai restaurant there, and later went to bar upstairs for sunset view and view cocktails. Later their shuttle took me back to the airport. Definitely better then just staying on this boring airport :)
