Singapore Airport

(Guest Review) So much to do and so little time... While 12h layover during night-time, we had nice relax in the pool (not big enough for swimming though) and yacuzzi for some reasonable price , then off to sleep in one of the lounges. Be warned there may not be seats for all and it does get cold while sleeping, so have something to cover yourself. Wanted to go to the free cinema, but didn't have time for that.

Left luggage price increases

by web-administrator (March, 2017)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest review) Beware that the management of Changi Left Luggage has recently changed from Easybag to Smartcarte. Accordingly, Smartcarte has increased the daily left luggage rates almost 300. Also due to airport security policy, you are now no longer allowed to leave any electronics in your left luggage - this includes iPads, computers, laptops, phones and any other electronic equipment and they WILL conduct a thorough search of all your luggage.

Excellent sleeping airport

(Guest Review by Yen) If you take off from terminal 3, just look over the right hand to see the chair for resting. It's for sleep over. Very quite, clean,... almost excellent for my many times there. I love there more than a hotel to stay overnight :) All is free

Singapore Changi

(Guest Review) This airport was amazing! As soon as we got there, we found a quiet corner next to fish ponds and gardens where we could sleep peacefully on carpeted floor with beautiful views of the landing strip... After a peaceful rest, we explored the rest of the airport only to find designated rest areas! The recliners are tucked away in a quiet hallway with waterfalls at your feet, blocking out any noises from the nearby food court or lounge areas. Each recliner has enough space to stow away your belongings and a USB port to charge your phone. I was fully rested so just enjoyed the peace and quiet while accessing their free wifi on my phone. After our rest and some (very average) food, we explored everything Singapore airport has to offer! We were amazed by all the different gardens and hangout spots. My favourite was the free 2 hr shuttle tour that takes you around Singapore's main tourist attractions! Our guide was terrific! Back at the airport were some great changing rooms too.

(Guest Review) I am a Singaporean 53 Years of Old had experienced, witnessed and observed followings whilst pre-boarding security checks at Gate 10 flight SQ318 bound for London on 09 December 2016 : a) I completed security scanning of my personal one bag content after taking out all items and putting on the trays which include my official laptop and IPAD's. b) Whilst I was putting my stuff into the bag Ms. Fimeena approached to me with an ugly attitude and ask me to move to other location which I said to her politely that let me finish this security checks and proceed to other location. But her rude behavior confirmed and conclude me that she has an attitude and hatred against Muslim Malays as she is Indian Race Malaysian Citizen whom mostly preferred to work in Singapore taking / snaping away local jobs to foreigner like her and her associates Mr. Sivram whom is the same race of her. c) I was shocked with her attitude and her rude behavior and concentration on a passenger whom already security checks done and cleared through but due my request to Ms. Fimeena and Mr. Sivram (whom appeared her coleauge and probably sexual partner) that let me finish putting back to my stuff in my bag and move on to your other place as you are asking me to move. d) Mr. Sivram and Ms. Fimeena was found loose concentration over other passenger security checks which is dangerous as I noticed being a Maritime Security expert since 2001. e) Mr. Sivram and his sexual partner Ms. Fimeena works for Cisco Certis as security officer. f) Both were found least educated and trained. They should be suspended from their duty until they are gone through continued >>

Singapore Changi Airport Review

by web-administrator (November, 2016)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review) This airport is amazing. As a destination and a layover. We spent 17 hours here during a layover. We slept well and sat on the bar soaking up sun and beer waiting for our next flight. So clean, a lot of cheap food options and many places to sleep. The only thing they can improve is getting a 7/11 there.

It's Changed

(Guest Review) I think Changi used to be good for sleeping in. I even checked in 13 hours before a flight although it was only at 23:30 so i didn't need to sleep. But now I tried two times to sleep in the airport Airside. 1st time everywhere in T1,2,3 had the classical music playing which made it incredibly hard to sleep. Then the police did a big round of asking everyone for passports and boarding pass at 3-4am. This visit i arrived and the same so i was already planning on the transit hotel. But the first one said that there's construction in the terminal so it will be noisy are you ok with that. So i said if there's anywhere else for the budget room. They said try T3 but once i got there through all the construction noise throughout the terminal, T3 doesn't do a budget room. So i got to the next terminal and they butted into my 8 second talk about where i had just been and that i can't find a budget room in their hotels, and then they said they're fully booked. The only place i found peace was in the cactus garden with the loud aircraft but then there wasn't really that many at 1am.

My experience at Changi Airport

by web-administrator (June, 2016)

(Guest Review by Joe Mbuthia) A fantastic airport, comfortable and one that I wouldn't mind having a long layover at. The flower and butterfly gardens, the movie halls and the convenient lounges and wi-fi make this airport one grand experience.

The best, still.

by andrewts (January, 2016)

Reason for Stay: Early flight departure
Where: Landside and Airside
Pros: Better than most hostels.
Cons: I'm trying to think of one...

My third night in Changi; as good as ever. No complaints. Every facility that you could ask for. Very peaceful. I found a place behind a currency exchange booty this time, with a power socket next to me for recharging my mobile phone. I slept on the carpet for about five hours without disruption. The cleaners cleaned around me and didn;'t disturb me at all. Five stars.

Most unfriendly airport for the passenger

by web-administrator (May, 2016)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review by Bo) Travel to UK from Australia and return. After on airplane over 12 hours and as a passenger arrived at airport I have limited time transfer between terminals and then rush to the gate as displayed as 'Go to Gate'. When arrived at gate I found that it is locked. There is very few chairs outside of the gate but huge inaccessible chairs in the waiting area - locked for passenger to use. Most of passengers can only stand up beside the gate or site on the dirty ground waiting for the waiting area to be opened by airport security team - less than an hour before airplane to take off. This is an awful experience after long hour/distance travel and just want to have a chair to sit before boarding on to the airplane again. If you do not want to shopping at this airport or like to walk long distance to find a chair to sit, you are better to avoid changing your plane at this passenger unfriendly airport.

Singapore - Terminal 3

by web-administrator (October, 2015)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review) Ample snooze chairs and massage chairs available. Liked the atmosphere of this areas, with lighting suited for relaxation. Toilets and food outlets are also strategically located nearby these snooze areas. Only downside is that not all of these snooze chairs are fitted with built-in alarm clocks. Be careful that you don't oversleep and end up missing your flight!

Singapore Changi Airport Review

(Guest Review) Terminal 3's transit area is home to the world's first butterfly garden in an airport, complete with lush greenery and a 6m-tall waterfall. As many as 1,000 tropical butterflies of 40 species.Changi Airport has its very own movie theatres - located in Terminals 2 and 3 - and they are free. Screenings are available around the clock and the latest films are usually shown. An entertainment deck with Kinect stations and Xbox 360s is a nice refuge for gamers.Massage chairs planted at several locations also provide much needed respite for aching limbs and sore muscles.

Singapore Changi Airport Review

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review) I'm a frequent traveller and I must say I have seen many airports in the world but Changi airport is still the best in the world. The facilities are better than many other airports, it's clean, easy to navigate and there are enough places you can rest without spending more money. The Sunflower Garden, the butterfly garden, numerous cafes ( not too expensive ) . It has such a pleasant environment. Of course it is my home airport and I always enjoyed the 'welcome home' feeling after an amazing travel experience elsewhere.
