(Guest Review by MTB) Free lounge area with electric supply points is still there between airline lounges between terminal A&B. However, it takes ages between gates and terminal at this airport. I felt like I walked miles and miles to get from A to B.

Taipei Taoyuan Airport Review

by web-administrator (February, 2016)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review) This is the first airport which I 've seen in my globetrotting life that floods during a heavy downpour. The whole experience was like something out of some end-of-world movies. Flooding was almost knee high, luggage and waste rubbish floating around, feces from few burst sewage pipes can be found everywhere just to name a few. The worst part was when you need answers and solutions to access the situation, the helpless ground crews are all clueless and had no senior officers to turn to when approached for help or assistance.

Comfortable Place to Sleep

(Guest Review by Od) I arrived at almost 11pm and decided to Sleep at the airport. The arrival hall, there's too many people. So, I headed to arrival hall on the 2nd floor near the boarding entrance. Go to the left near the Aboriginal Handicraft, there's plenty of cushion seat with charging station next to it. Not many people also. But, it get chilly. so, bring some sweater with you.

(Guest Review) By the B gate transfer desk they have passed benches that you can sleep on. It's quiet at night and they don't disturb you. Got a full night's sleep! It is chilly though.

Sleeping, shower, safe

(Guest Review by bumbero911) Awesome lounge at transfer counter A. The lounge is open 24 hrs for layover passengers. Nice and roomy sofa to sleep in. Showers are available for free just need to show your passport. More importantly it's safe. Five of my family members slept there for few hrs. No issues whatsover. Almost most of the staff speaks english. We stayed here from 9:00 pm - 7:00 am while waiting for our flight to Manila. Cleanest restrooms and bath I've seen in Asia.

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review by Christine) there's a new lounge between the A and B gates in Terminal 1 on the 4th floor beside the business lounges. world plugs to charge anything, free and fast wifi, very modern with enough space to sleep, and no people! there are showers and toilets, the only annoying thing are the announcements, bring earplugs! I stayed 14 hours during the day and it was deserted and not too cold.

Amazing 10.5 hours layover

by web-administrator (May, 2016)

(Guest Review by An Tran) I bought a cheap ticket from LAX - SGN with a layover at TPE, and since it was cheap, so the layover was 10.5 hours. I actually did some research about where to sleep at the airport on this website, but did not really follow the instructions. As soon as I arrived at TPE at around 9:30PM, I found my way from T2 to T1 and asked the transfer counter on where to take a shower. They showed me the brand new public resting area includes shower, breastfeeding room, and a large resting area with free WiFi and outlets. For the shower, you actually have to bring your own towels as they do not provide them, or you can purchase a shower package next door at the Plaza Premium Lounge (it does not have shampoo or body wash in which I was very confused). Also, the airport does not have shampoo nor body wash either inside the shower facility. They told me they are going to provide it soon, but soon is when? I don't know. So, I highly recommend you to prepare some for your own good. After the shower, I actually stayed in the free resting area for a bit, then went over to the Plaza Premium Lounge and purchased the 5-hour service. That was my first time at a lounge and the experience was absolutely amazing. The lounge provide a quite environment for travelers to rest, eat, and drink including salad, beer, wine, you name it. The staff is very attentive and they check on you once in awhile to make sure everything is okay. I believe they do not really check on the time, it's more of a voluntary thing where you know your time is up and you should leave. Overall, I had a great experience at both free resting area and the Plaza Premium Lounge. If you have a long l continued >>

Taipei Taoyuan Airport Review

(Guest Review) Overall, I was pleased with the pre-security area design. It looks great. The security and immigration line were long, but moved very quickly. Major problem is that I just had breakfast in the Singapore Air lounge and then discovered cockroaches! It's doubtful in my opinion that they are limited to this small lounge, so I don't think I'd eat here again.

Taipei Taoyuan Airport Review

by web-administrator (May, 2016)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review) They got rid of all of the free loungers on the upper level near the food courts. They havr replaced them with exclusive lounges. Sorry but EVA Air gives you no option but to have 8-10 hour layovers and only a meal voucher (about 8usd worth) for your wait. Not enough places to actually put your feet up and rest anymore and the staff really don't care to help you find them. Will be going with Seoul as our transit airport of choice from now on even though the layover is 12 hours. Atleast there they have an abundance of loungers.

Clean and comfortable terminals

by web-administrator (January, 2016)

Pros: -
Cons: -

(Guest Review by FirstTimeTraveler) My experience in Taipei airport was really enjoyable. This was my first traveling to the other side of the world. I was concerned about a place to rest while waiting for my connection flight. Taipei airport terminals are very clean and enjoyable. Each terminal has different decoration theme. One of the highlighted is hello kitty terminal. Haha. And the rest are very good too. There are plenty of comfortable couchs to rest and even sleep.
