Airport Overview

To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, we are here to give you the low-down on what travellers have reported back to us about their time at Amman Queen Alia International Airport.

What to Expect

Amman Queen Alia International Airport services its passengers with a modern three-level passenger terminal with shops, a spa, and lots of 24-hour dining options. Free WiFi is available throughout the airport, and there are plenty of charging areas and outlets covering all types of sockets and USB ports. The facilities are described as exceptionally clean, and airport staff as efficient, though immigration can be slow during peak times. Economy class passengers may be able to access one of the airport’s private lounges. See Airport Lounges in the airport guide below.

Where to Sleep

Travellers reviews regarding sleep options are mixed, which suggests that finding decent sleeping spots might be a case of “seek and you will find.” While some travellers reported finding comfortable armrest-free seating in quiet areas, others reported a lack of comfortable seating or quiet nooks suitable for snoozing. Overall, airside seems to offer better seating options, and, depending upon the time, more quiet areas. For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels near the airport. See Airport Hotels in the airport guide below.
