What to Expect

Mashhad Airport (code: MHD) has three terminals. The International and Hajj Terminals are both brand new, having opened in the last few years. The older Domestic Terminal may be undergoing renovations. Facilities include a restaurant and a few shops. WiFi is available in the CIP lounge, which economy class passengers can pay to enter. Sleeping in Mashhad Airport

We do not yet have any sleep-related airport reviews, but this airport seems to close nightly.  Have a backup plan if you’re planning to spend the night.  For uninterrupted sleep, the closest hotels are 20 minutes away from the airport. Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships

Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter by paying at the door:

  • CIP Terminal – A reader tells us “There is a not so great CIP Terminal, mostly for departure of both domestic and international flights. The price is (648,400IRR ~ 17$) for an Adult on a domestic flight and (1,600,000IRR ~ 42$) for an Adult on an international flight.”

Food & Drinks – A restaurant is available onsite. Free coffee is available in the transit area of the airport.

Prayer Room – Yes, in all terminals.
