What to Expect

Regina Airport (code: YQR) passenger facilities consist of a small two-level terminal with nine gates and a half dozen eateries and shops airside, and a couple of eateries and shops on the landside. After eateries and shops close at night vending machines provide the only drink and snack options. WiFi is available to help pass the time.  For added comfort, economy class passengers can pay to use one of the airport’s first-class lounge. Sleeping in Regina Airport

There are reportedly comfortable armrest-free chairs and padded benches near the airport bar on the airside. For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels near the airport. See Airport Hotels in the guide below or read some traveller airport reviews for more tips.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships

Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter through a lounge membership program. Visit the individual lounge page for more details about the lounge itself and to also find out how you can gain lounge access with just an economy class ticket!

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Arrivals Hall, on the main floor in the arrivals hall • Airside, on the second floor (dispenses Canadian Dollars, US Dollars, Euros and British Pounds).

Disabled Services – Passengers requiring special assistance should contact their airline ahead of travel. Airport services include a barrier-free building design, TTY/teletypewriters and accessible bathrooms. There is also designated pick up and drop off areas, handicap parking spots and hand-controlled vehicle rentals.

Drinking Water – Thirsty? Water bottle refill stations are available free of charge. Location: Once you pass through security, there is a water bottle refill station near the bar.

Duty Free & Shopping – Duty Free is available at the Relay Store (second floor, airside). Rumour Handcraft (second floor, Landside) sells souvenirs and locally made crafts.

Food & Drink – Most food concessions throughout the airport operate according to flight schedule. At the time of this update, there are no 24-hour dining options. These are the current concessions: Skyway Restaurant (Location : Post Security) • Tim Hortons (Location: Post Security) • Tim Hortons/ RA News (Location: Arrival, Baggage claims).

Information Desk – Have any questions? Visit the Information Center in the Arrivals Hall for assistance. English and French languages are spoken.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.

Airport Shuttle

Shuttle service is available by Hobo Express Inc. This shuttle service offers door-to-door service for passengers and freight between Regina, Moose Jaw, Casino Regina, hospitals, 15 Wing Air Base, etc.

Bus

If you’re travelling light, bus line 8 stops at Pasqua Street & Regina Avenue which is a 15 minutes walk to Regina Airport. The bus line operates daily, from 5:32AM – 8:45PM.  For more information, visit the Regina Transit web site.

Car Rentals

Car rental counters are available. Vehicles are located immediately outside the terminal building. Companies include: Avis • Budget • Enterprise • Hertz • National.

Hotel Shuttles

At the time of this update we were unable to find any hotels that provide an airport shuttle.  See also Airport Hotels above.

Ride Share Apps

Uber picks up passengers from the commercial lane, located in the short-term parking lot, across the road from the arrivals doors.

Taxi

Taxis are available outside the terminal doors, and a taxi coordinator will help you get to your destination.
