Airport Overview

To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, we are here to give you the low-down on what travellers have reported back to us about their time at Colorado Springs Airport.

What to Expect

Colorado Springs airport consists of a small, two-level, single concourse terminal with 12 departure gates and dozen or so shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, primarily on the airside. After airport restaurants and shops close for the night, vending machines are the only in-airport snack option, so plan accordingly. WiFi is available, and there are charging stations throughout the concourse. For additional comfort, economy class passengers can pay to access the airport’s private lounge. See Airport Lounges in the airport guide below for locations and rates.

Where to Sleep

After security checkpoints close for the night, all passengers are restricted to the landside areas, and must re-clear security the next day when the checkpoints re-open. There are reportedly some couches behind a fireplace on the second floor that can be accessed by stairway separate from the main stairs. Public service announcements and cold temperatures may be the biggest sleep hindrances so consider bringing extra layers or a sleeping bag, and earplugs/noise-cancelling headphones. For uninterrupted sleep, there are some hotels within a quick shuttle ride of the airport. See Airport Hotels in the airport guide below.
