Springfield Airport Information

In this guide we may refer to locations as "landside" and "airside". Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover At The Airport

  • Art Gallery - The airport's "Sky Gallery" has a rotating exhibit of fine art. Locations: Landside. Hours: open 24 hours.
  • ATMs / Cash Machines - Two Empire Bank ATM locations: near the airport administrative offices (landside) and in the concourse (airside).
  • Car Rentals - Yes, see our Airport Transportation section below.
  • Duty Free & Shopping - No duty free available. There are two small shops that sell souvenirs and newspapers.
  • Food & Drinks - There are no 24-hour food concessions at the airport. McAlister's Deli has locations both landside and airside. The Deli opens at 4:45AM.
  • Information Desk - Offering maps, brochures, a hotel/transportation display, courtesy phone and the answers to some of your questions. Location: Center of the lobby.
  • Luggage Storage & Lockers - not available
  • Medical Service - Need medical attention? Emergency personnel are on staff 24 hours a day.
  • Meditation Room - Location: Landside, beyond the ticketing area and towards the gates.
  • Post Office - A mailbox is available close to the administrative offices.
  • Showers - not available

The airport is open 24 hours.

Keep in mind that TSA, airline check-in and baggage drop hours vary according the flight schedule. Check these hours with your airline. If you are in the public area of the terminal (landside) you will not be able to get through to the secure area of the terminal (airside) until the morning.

Car Rentals

Car rental services are available from ½ hour before the first flight’s arrival or departure, and ½ hour after the arrival or departure of the last flight of the day. Onsite car rental agencies include Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty.

Several area hotels provide airport transportation service as a courtesy to their guests.
