If your flight is delayed and they offer you the 'Airport Hotel' take it! dear god take it!
When i found out my flight was delayed and i would have an 8 or 9 hour weight i was horrified, tired grumpy and sticky, then they said they would put those of us in transit into the hotel for the day so we could freshen up. We all expected a grotty motel next to the tarmac but instead were bundled into a taxi (ok that was a little intimidating especially if travelling alone) and driven for 20 minutes out of town to ... A BEACH RESORT!!
Seriously, we were each given our own en-suit beach-side room, free lunch, dinner and tea and got to play in the ocean, sleep and shower until our flight. woo-hoo...... [ read more of this entry ]
