A few airport reviews from the archives

" I stayed in La-Paz airport last year as we had to catch a 7:00 flight. It was clean and it is actually open 24 hours which not many people know as a lot of the people on our flight wanted to stay in it but where told it was not 24 hours. There is one major problem with it though it is over 4000 meters high. Which means when they switch off the heating at 12:00 at night it starts to get quite cold, but it is quiet and apart from the occasional cargo plane coming in and the occasional cleaner sleeping next to you it is a good way to avoid the fairly expensive taxi fare in the morning."

"I waited in La Paz airport for a total of 23 hours whilst waiting for the rain to stop in my arrival town of Rurrenabaque (after all, the airport there was nothing more than a playing field!). The airport was clean, and reasonable, with the few shops/restaurants catering for the basics. Sleeping there was a fairly pleasant experience, there are no flights in the small hours, and so only other sleeping customers hanging around the airport. However, it does get VERY cold at night inside, and if you're not used to the altitude then you'll not enjoy the lack of breathing. "

so, just how bad is this airport?
