Maracaibo Airport

Lasting Impressions....

Good times

by ?
"Although I've never had the opportunity of sleeping in an airport (because it is too difficult for us Venezuelans to travel because of the f*cking president), I have stayed in La Chinita International. Although it is small, it is a very beautiful airport, I would say that it is even more beautiful than Simon Bolivar Intl. in Caracas. I also want to ask for international help because Venezuela is suffering very much because of Chavez. We need your help and it is urgent!"

Not a bad place, but not great either

"I've been through the Maracaibo, Venezuela airport several times, and though I never slept there, I always arrived very early for departure, and that part of the airport is pretty good. Not quiet, necessarily, but clean when I was there. Coming into the dinky, darkly-lit arrival area, you'd never guess that the other part of the airport was this nice."

Um, you may want to rethink sleeping in this place

"i was there very early for a flight which ended up being canceled. the place was full of mosquitoes, and there were no seats. the only ATM didn't work. pretty much a lousy experience."
