A few airport reviews from the archives

We almost spent an entire night at SDQ in order to catch an early flight to JFK; there are hotel options 15-20 mins, away but not worth considering in our case due to the departure time of our flight. Fast-food options prior the security checkpoints and around the arrivals area are available but close well before midnight. With limited seating across the airlines' counters hall, we checked our bags, cleared security and headed for terminal B's gates area, where seats were clean but the cushioning not that comfy. Wandering around just before the duty free stores closed, we came across the seating area around the gates at terminal A's departures satellite where we settled in...although no places to grab a bite to eat were open, seats were ample and cushioned, little or no activity was heard and dimmed lights around allowed us to sleep a bit more we thought we might. No issues with personnel, and bathrooms were clean. No announcements were heard until our flight, the first one of the day. In brief, the place was 'survivable' for just one night.

After the last flight leaves 9.30pm. Airport is empty and open all night. No hassles from staff.
Long hard wooden benches to sleep on. Passengers start to arrive at around 4am for the morning flights.

"It started already by the check-in, the staff was unpolite and mostly interested in turning all our luggage upside down, and they was also paying attention while we opened our coded lockers and when we got back home we understood why ,because our digital camera was missing when we opened our suitcase back home. Because of that our flight was delayed 13 hours we had to try to get some sleep at the gate, but that was close to impossible because the benches was not constructed for comfort and beside that it seemed that we had jumped in a local championship of farting, the level and smell was just unbelievable. So for anyone that have the choice you must avoid spending more than a absolute minimum of time at Santo Domingo airport."
