The Tegucigalpa airport used to be disgusting. I first made it there in 2005 and thought I was in a homeless shelter. I couldn't believe it.
I went there again in 2007 and the place had undergone a sweet remodeling. Gift shops, bars, perfume store that smells really good, automatic flush toilets, Burger King. The seats have armrests, which kind of sucks, but the place is pretty nice now.

"I've never slept here but I've spent tons of time at this airport and sleeping here is not an option. The airport actually closes at night, there is known to be petty theft, the seats are hard and the airport is hot. And it's improved since I was first there in '99!"
