I had a flight departing 6:00am from Alicante airport. The bus relying the airport to the city starts working at 6:00am, hence I decided to get in the last bus (around 22:00) and try to get some rest in the Airport. Basically the airport is small and has two terminals (one glued to the other) you definitely won't want to go to the old one, but the new one has a lot of benches without armrests, those that you'll find in the main lobby are metallic and not really comfortable. But if you start walking around, to the east side of the terminal (after the hallway to your right when you enter the door) next to the easyjet counter you'll find some nice benches in a dimmed light area. however is not a great idea to sleep there if you are not sure the exact time when your delayed flight takes off.
This airport has no flights during the night so apart from the security guards and the cleaning there's no much movement or noise. No one will wake you up rudely or tell you that is not allowed to sleep.
they have a few restaurants and fastfood, they close around midnight or 1am, still it would be wise to bring some bottled water.
For the wifi and laptop, I walked around searching for a place to plug in my laptop and only found one spot placed in a round column near Ryanair's check-in. Wifi is NOT free, but if you are really in need you can easily buy a prepaid card with your credit card. expensive thou.
cleaning staff was friendly and they just skipped my spot only not to bother me, even if I told them that I'd move...
little chilly, but is just because of the season, not so cold to turn on the heating but still cold at night, nothing a leather jacket could not solve (but then who brings a leather jacket to the mediterranean sea in may? me)
Overall the experience was not bad at all, I felt safe at every moment and I was happy to sleep there.
Have a nice stay!
