Frankfurt Hahn Airport Guide
In this section you will find traveller airport reviews as well as our Frankfurt Hahn Airport Guide with info on WiFi, lounges, facilities and services....and yes, even the names of some airport hotels in case you decide that sleeping in the airport is not for you!
It was far from comfortable. There were flies everywhere - both inside and outside the fastfood places. They were even all over my face all the time and this was the main reason to find sleeping here difficult. - tony_vm
To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down of what travellers have reported to us during their time at Frankfurt Hahn Airport.
What to Expect
- There is one small passenger terminal with pretty basic amenities.
- Situated equidistant between the cities of Frankfurt and Luxembourg, it serves primarily low-cost carriers flying to European destinations, so don’t expect much from an overnight here.
- Airport staff is friendly, helpful, and generally fine with overnight travellers.
- Dining options are limited and expensive.
- The Landside McDonald’s sounds like it is open 24-hours, and with better WiFi than the airport’s public network.
- Free WiFi is available. See WiFi in the airport guide below.
Where to Sleep
- Seating is limited, and most of it is basic metal benches. Grab a comfortable bench if it’s open.
- Airside closes overnight, so more travellers will be Landside until security opens in the morning.
- ravellers report loud overnight cleaning services, so bring ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones.
- For uninterrupted sleep, a few hotels are located opposite the terminal and others can be found nearby. See Airport Hotels in the airport guide below for more info.

In this guide we may refer to locations as "landside" and "airside". Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.
