"August 2003 - General info:
- padded seats are 3 to 4 persons wide with no armrests and a reclining padded backrest (otherwise check into the hotel across the road).
- no showers but plenty of toilets that vary in cleaniness.
- shops and restaurants close after 8pm but there is a Welcome Bar open all night in the arrivals terminal.
- there is also a 24 hour observation deck with more seats, self service food and drink with a great view.
- airport is purpose built glass and steel and is 30 minutes from city centre by subway (at this time a 3.60 Euro day ticket bought on saturday will also give you free unlimited travel on sunday for the subway, bus, tram and trains).
- security appear tolerant about sleeping as long as "you make no trouble" (Nurnberg is afterall the spiritual home of the Nazi Party ha ha).
- other airport staff friendly and helpful (female staff attractive and chatty so waiting for a flight was easy and an incentive to check in early!).
- overall: smaller, cleaner, nicer and safer than the big international airports like Frankfurt, Munich and Hamburg."

- Norris Sky Lounge - Location: Airside, departure gates, ground floor. Hours: 4am - 11pm. Rate: € 15 entry fee. Vouchers can be purchased at the AirPart Travel Service Ticketing and Information Desk.
- Lufthansa Lounge - Location: Airside, departure gates, first level. Hours: 5am - 9pm.
