Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

Bus

If travelling light and on a tight budget, you can catch a public bus to the city. Look for the blue and white buses, heading west along the main road, that say “Centro” or “Plaza Rio” on the front. If you’re heading to other cities in Mexico, the US border crossing, or cities within Los Angeles, you can catch a long-distance bus at the airport bus station, located outside, to the east of the main airport terminal.

Car Rentals

These car rental agencies offer service onsite in the Arrivals Hall: Alamo • Avis • Dollar • Europcar • Hertz • National • Sixt • Thrifty.

Minibus

Travel like the locals do! If your load is light, you can travel at a fraction of the price of a taxi by taking a “colectivo” (shared-ride taxi) from the main terminal. Colectivos run from 5:00AM - 10:00PM. Make sure your colectivo is going to your destination before hopping in.

Taxis

Prepaid taxis are readily available for hire 24 hours in the ground transportation area of the airport. Stop at a taxi booth at one of the airport exits to pay for your ride. You will receive a ticket to give to your taxi driver before boarding the taxi.
