It appears that the secure areas close at night, but landside areas remain open. Best sleeping area is a lounge just outside security in Terminal E. Narrow benches but well padded, with other travelers sleeping there. Here's a 360-degree panorama of the lounge! Only negative: A troupe of State Police woke everyone up after midnight asking to see tickets or boarding passes, actively removing those who didn't have them, so you MUST bring printed proof of your flight. BTW: Good public transit from DCA to BWI via bus at the Greenbelt Metro station.

A lounge for members of the military and their families. The lounge offers baggage storage, famiy rooms with toys and cribs, TV lounge, snack bar, free WiFi, and more.
Location: Lower Level, International Pier, Beside Baggage Claim 14.
Hours: 600am-1000pm (Daily)

- Four Points by Sheraton BWI Airport - on the airport grounds, accessible by 24 hour shuttle bus
Airport WiFi / Internet
Wireless internet access is available at the Baltimore Airport for a fee. Connect to the Boingo network. As of June 2011, one reader let me know that it was possible to connect to the McDonalds Wi-Fi between terminals A and B.
