found a quiet(ish) spot, chairs reasonably comfortable (considering I'd broke my foot), people leave you alone. It helps if you are inebriated. - Tony

Airport Overview

To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, we are here to give you the low-down on what travellers have reported back to us about their time at Rhodes International Airport Diagoras.

What to Expect

Rhodes International Airport Diagoras consists of a small, relatively new (2005) terminal with only a restaurant, cafe and couple of shops (including duty free). As a seasonal airport, the terminal can get chaotic at times, and is known for inefficient and long check-in and security clearance processes. WiFi is available to help pass the time. And if you don't mind paying, comfort can be found through fee-based access to one of the airport’s first class lounges. See Airport Lounges in the airport guide below for locations and rates.

Where to Sleep

Sleeping in the airport does not appear to be a problem, though seating consists of hard, metal benches that get mixed reviews for their comfort. While one reviewer said their cradle-like curve made them comfortable, others said they are too hard. Thus, consider bringing a travel mat, pillow and travel blanket if you are intending to spend the night at this airport. Bright lights and mosquitoes were also mentioned as potential sleep hindrances, so consider eyeshades and insect repellent for a more comfortable sleep. For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels near the airport. See Airport Hotels in the airport guide below.
