If anybody knows of world politics they definitely would have read about what happened in Karachi on 12May'07.We checked in,but due to the violence in the city our flight to Delhi got delayed for about 36 hours, and we spend that time at the airport so now I have become sort of an expert on Jinnah Terminal. Although they have TVs but it airs very outdated programmes no news channel or any direct broadcast,on the other hand the best thing which I have not seen in many countries I have visited so far is free access to internet with so many computers which made up for the absence of news channels.Even the seating is not bad I slept on them. There are shops in the departure lounge and a kiosk of McDonalds as well. Bathrooms are ok,and smoking is only permitted in designated areas, air-conditioning was just right. The staff is courteous. Overall it was not that bad an experience keeping in mind I spend 36 hours there.

"My plane landed Karachi at 3.00 o'clock midnight -quite late to look for a hotel-and I was planning to spend the night at the airport. When I had enough stamps in my passport, I found myself outside of the airport. Waiting room was just for the outgoing passengers and as long as you don't have a flight out, they don't let you in. I slept outside of the airport with a couple of travellers. Nobody disturbed, but there was lots of bugs around, sometimes even walking on us."
