"the security was nice about kicking me out" (bruno)

"Gimpo still has musky, stank-nasty toilets but it looks much nicer than it did before the 2002 remodel." (Sgt. Kimchee)

The Gimp is much nicer than it used to be, before Incheon opened up. There are lots of flat, hard, marble and wood benches. I learned something useful during my last slumber-over there. I think anyone planning to sleep in any Korean transit hub could use my advice...There are these giant ubiquitous plasma television sets the size of a car windshield in every airport, train station, or bus terminal in Korea. Samsung and LG advertise these by displaying them in public places. Most Koreans are very polite and respectful of these tvs and watch the K-soaps on them like zombies. The volume tends to be REALLY LOUD. So I was trying to get some rest at Gimpo, and while no one was looking, I snuck over and discovered a volume button that really works...so did the power button. The trick is to shut off the tv before anyone comes to watch it, then sleep right in front of it. Most Koreans are overly polite and wouldn't dare awaken a sleeping foreigner!! Gimpo has many of these TVs...the trick is to find an empty gate, turn off the TV, and get some rest! Beware- if you turn off a TV someone is watching, they will give you an earful!
