Generally this airport isnt too bad. The floors are tiled which makes them cold if you want to sleep on them. Chairs are around but all have arms, however if you can check-in and go through to the departure lounge, the chairs aren't fixed so you can move them together to have somewhere for your legs...
After around 10pm some of the stores packed up so they left 'felt' covered platforms that were warm and reasonably comfy to sleep on. Bob's Burgers and a chinese place were open all night, and there was a 24hr internet cafe and games arcade if u didn't want to sleep.
Security were present and helpful considering there was no english spoken but generally not too bad.
Definately not the worst airport I've been in.

"I first went to Brazil in 2001, then again in 2002, I had to sleep at two airports, Sao Paulo after I failed to get off my flight from Fortaleza to Rio I had fallen asleep( The Plane flies Fortaleza, Sao Paulo, Rio De JANEIRO) I was supposed to catch Air France back to Paris. The flight had left at 11pm I was still in Sao Paulo! I got to Rio the following day after having to pay again to get back there to catch my flight to Europe. Anyway I was in bad shape after 4 nights in the Airport in Rio and no-one helped me until I called the British Embassy. They sorted it all out and got me back to England. Its a long story cut short. "
so, just how bad is this airport?
