To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Fortaleza Airport.
What to Expect
Fortaleza Airport has a single terminal that is currently undergoing an expansion and renovation. Facilities include a range of shops and eateries, many of which are open 24 hours. Travellers appreciate the free mobile charging stations and free WiFi. For added comfort while you wait, economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge. See Airport Lounges in the airport guide below for location and access information.
Where to Sleep
Overnight sleepers don’t seem to have any problems here, but it’s best to come prepared. Seats are generally uncomfortable and equipped with armrests, so bring a sleeping bag to spread out on the cold floor. The observation area on Floor 3 is reportedly the best spot for peace and quiet. For uninterrupted sleep, nearby hotels offer shuttle service. See our Airport Hotels section below for more info.
In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.
Sala VIP Casablanca Turismo Fortaleza – Location: Domestic Terminal, Airside, in front of Gate H.
