Santiago de Chile Airport
Lasting Impressions....
"I sleep there better than in my bed." (unknown)
"we headed to the lift when we cleared customs in the arrivals bit, went to the first floor and turned left just walk along here Up to 200m it's along walkway passing rows of seat without arm rests" (Dave Newton)
"BIG TIP: Second floor in the offices section, at the right hand end of the airport as you go in. There is the best cozy corner with lovely carpet and no one comes by all night." (Connor Hull)
"Probably by best airport sleeping experience." (Willem II)
"thanks go out to the guy who woke me up at 3.30 by dumping his bags on the metal chair next to my head. He then went straight to sleep and started snoring like an elephant" (dave)

Good times

"BIG TIP: Second floor in the offices section, at the right hand end of the airport as you go in. There is the best cozy corner with lovely carpet and no one comes by all night. When you walk to this end of the airport there is a large circular section. On the second floor the good spot is at about 10 o'clock. It's in front of some doors that don't open. Slept way better than in Casa Roja. the hostel. no worries."

Not a bad place, but not great either
by Jorge
"I had an early flight departure and was arriving relatively late to the airport on another flight, so I decided to stay in since I knew Santiago already and knew how long it would take me to go to the centre and back the next morning so I decided to relax and save some money too,The transit area has many places open, not all during the whole night and they all have airport prices, including the internet cafes, so I walked up and down a few times trying to find the best spot to spend the night. There were tv's all over and since I was not very sleepy I got a place with a tv nearby and with the air conditioning at not freezing level (this is different depending what gate you are at). Got a comfy position in one of the benches with seats and put my legs through the whole on the armrest so I was lying flat. I had a quite comfy night, without disturbances, not many passengers sleeping around either... and my alarm woke me up in time to go to the toilet, wash myself and make my way to the gate for boarding. Overall I had a pleasant night."
Um, you may want to rethink sleeping in this place
so, just how bad is this airport?
