I was in the Gerona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO) in the night of 4 to 5 of January 2011. There were no crowded but I arrived to the airport about 12am and I was lucky so I could lie down in one the last benches without armrest.
You just can rest on the ground floor but it's not cold and the lights are OK. Sometimes a cleaner with a machine goes close of you but just a few seconds. The first flight was at 6.00am and people arrived about 4.30am so you have to wake up at that time. It's completely safety with security personnel around the main door. A positive experience.
