"We had to spend a night in the airport in Hamburg once. We were not allowed to wait upstairs in the departure hall and the hall was literally locked in front of us by the airport security. We were sent downstairs to find 2 rows of metal seats between a staircase and the entrance. We made ourselves comfortable (well, the way you can in such conditions) to wait. Unfortunately, we had to stay there together with some insane homeless guys who would cry loud, disturb and molest other waiting passengers. There was no security to show them out so they stayed there till the morning, as they usually do, obviously. It was a horrible night, no security, cold hall and no rest."

- Lufthansa Lounge - Location: Terminal 2, Gallery Level
- Emirates Lounge - Location: Airport Plaza, Gallery Level. Hours: 1145am - 230pm and 530pm - 810pm (Daily)
Airport WiFi / Internet
- Wireless internet access is available at the Hamburg Airport for a fee. Wifi connection is available on the Pier, in the lounges and conference rooms and throughout the waiting areas in the terminal. Connect to the "Avanticom" network.
- Internet kiosks are available in Terminal 2, on the Arrivals Level and on the Passenger Pier. Hours: 4am - 12am

Airport Model Exhibition
A miniature version of the Hamburg Airport. You will get to see every detail of Hamburg Airport, with all its buildings, taxiways, runways and landing strips, on a scale of 1:500.
Rate: € 4.50 (adults)
Shows: daily at 10 a.m.,12 noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. without prior booking
Duration of the show: approx. 45 minutes
Airport Tours
The airport offers tours of the Fire Brigrade and the Apron. Reservations required. Departure Times: 10am and 130pm. Duration: 150 minutes. Rate: € 12,00 (adults) and € 8,00 (child up to age 14)
