We arrived from Palma de Mallorca with my friends around 23.00, our connecting flight to Tallinn was the next day around 7.00. At first it seemed like a good idea to check the bags in all the way to Tallinn but the bad thing was that since we travelled to Spain in mid-August, we didn't see too much of a point in packing much warm clothes, especially in our carry ons.
Well, it so happened to be that it was raining hard in Vilnius and it was cold as hell since there had been a major heat-wave just recently in Vilnius, the AC was turned to the max so it seemed like they were trying to make it snow inside the terminal. I was running out of my Lithuanian Litas for the vending machines and the last of it went to a broken one which just spilled all of my hot chocolate all over the terminal floor (apparently it was out of cups). There was no staff to ask for any blankets or pillows either.
By morning I was shivering hard and when I got home, i had near 40 degree fever and saw hallucinations.
Of course, most of the contribution to the bad experience was caused pretty much by myself because of not thinking that much ahead to pack for a stay in an airport.
The cafe and stores opened up around 5.30-6AM.
The benches offered a rather adequate sleeping experience.
