Zagreb International Airport

Lasting Impressions....

Memorable comments left by travellers:

"The place was filled with smoke and extremely dirty. There were bums on the benches. It was uncomfortable, but at least the beer I got at a bar there was good." (Michael)

I accidentally arrived early so I had to sit there for 4 hours before my flight. Waiting area is clean enough, seats are so,so(I've seen better and worse),it is very, very small and there is no physical separation for smoke/no smoke so the smoke gets everywhere. One bar and one shop only.Very boring 4 hours of my life!Toilets were clean enough for my standards.

I spent quite a few hours in the main ticketing area of the train station in Zagreb on my way to Belgrade. It was winter and freezing cold but it was pretty damn good. Aside from being very clean, the floors were heated! My bum was toasty the whole time. Also there's a half decent cafe inside the complex that allowed me to sit in there for hours during one of my transits.

"I passed through Zagreb on my way to Rome, Italy. It was the worst experience I've ever had. Security was all over me non-stop, even though I am an American National. The place was filled with smoke and extremely dirty. There were bums on the benches. It was uncomfortable, but at least the beer I got at a bar there was good. If you have to go through here please spend as much time as possible in the airport."
