I had a connection through Darwin on my way to Bali. After reading the reviews here, I expected the worst but it wasn't too bad. The bucket seats mentioned in past reviews are now gone, and there's nice blue cushioned seats alternating with couches large enough to nap on (unless you're tall) if you curl up. There's free wireless internet in the domestic & international terminals. Two cafes, a Red Rooster and a bookstore. The bookstore was sold out of Indonesian phrasebooks though, which is bad considering 90 of their flights go to Indonesia. It is small though, which means more people in the one room which means noise. I'd definitely bring earplugs if you want any sleep.
