small terminal.
i found a desk on a 2nd level walkway to a TSA office. it was nice to sleep in the dark under the desk. there was not another spot in the entire airport (outside of the gates) to sleep on a softer area. the only other option was the rotating baggage conveyor.

"I had the misfortune to be stuck at Kansas City last summer when my flight was cancelled. Definitely a big thumbs down! First. they kick you out of the waiting area, so available seats are minimal. All that is left is chairs with armrests- to prevent anyone from taking up more than 1 seat. (At least the seats in the waiting area are armless, so one could lie down.) The cleaning crew shows up at 2 a.m. to vacuum. The doors to the curb are are next to the seats, so although I wasn't concerned about strangers, they were constantly opening and closing - lots of noise. Nowhere to hide, and no sleep either."
