‘A Night At….” Changi Airport: ‘Stopover’ Initiative Takes Flight

Singapore’s Changi Airport is proving why it is still the best airport to sleep in – with a dedicated month-long campaign that hands passengers some unique opportunities.

Changi has teamed up with the Singapore Tourism Board to launch “Changi Stopovers in Singapore,’ an out-of-the-box immersive experience that not only allows travellers to soak up the airport’s attractions, but to explore the stunning city.

The programme will no doubt be a top attraction for some of the estimated 30 percent of transit passengers which account for all of Changi Airport’s total traffic.

Their ‘Night at the Airport’ stayover is a two day, one-night itinerary for all the family. You can learn all about Changi Airport, including attractions entry, behind-the-scenes educational experiences and a festive craft workshop.

A fun-filled day is not complete without a magical sleepover in tents within the digital attraction.

Alternatively, families looking for a more relaxed free-and-easy indoor camping experience can opt for the Changi Experience Studio Play + Sleepover programme, which includes attraction tickets to Changi Experience Studio and Canopy Park, and a sleepover in tents within the cosy environment of the studio.

For the first time, the airport has announced “Glampcations in The Clouds” – where passengers can experience a magical night under the stars in cool comfort and wake up to the refreshing view of the majestic HSBC Rain Vortex.

The experience combines the fun of camping outdoors with modern-day comforts: resort-style living surrounded by greenery, with the world’s largest indoor waterfall in sight.

Travellers are also being offered the chance to tap into nature, by spending a night in an exclusive glamping tent at Jewel’s Shiseido Forest Valley this festive season.

“At Changi, we always aim to present our passengers with the best travelling experience,” acknowledged Peh Ke-Wei, CAG’s vice president for passenger development.

“With Jewel Changi Airport opening its doors next year, its myriad lifestyle offerings and attractions will offer an enhanced stopover experience for passengers.”

Sleepovers at airports will never be the same again given Changi’s way!
