Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport


An airport bus service runs between the airport and Frösön/Östersund, scheduled to coordinate with all departing and arriving flights. Connections to regional buses available at Gustav III Square in central Östersund. Service to Odensala and Torvalla is available for flights arriving after 10:00PM. Total trip time between the airport and central Östersund is about 15 - 20 minutes. At the time of this January 2018 update, one-way ticket (payable with credit card only) costs SEK 90 or SEK 45 if you are under the age of 20.

Car Rentals

Avis, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt offer car rental services onsite.


Taxis are readily available at the airport during airport hours of operation. You can also pre-book your taxi if prefered, visit the Östersund Airport website for a list of taxi providers.
